Intro to Media Survey

6. A woman's role in society is whatever she wants it to be. There is no set "role" for a woman. People would say it is to have kids, make food, clean, and stay home to take care of the house and family. Maybe that is how it used to be, and perhaps some people still see it like that, but times have changed. Women no longer have to stay home; they can go out and becom successful. Women are supposed to act polite but then againt isnt everyone? As I said before there are no set ways for women to act. Shouldn't women be allowed to act as they please like everybody else? They have the same First Amendment rights.
7. This question's answer is similar to the other one I just did. Men don't have a certain role in society either. Back in the day they were seen as the "boss." They told women what to do and what not to. Men were the ones who had to go out and make a living. Now a days men can stay home and take care of the family. It's becoming more common. A man is supposed to act polite as well, it does not make a difference what sex someone is. Although, they do not always act polite they have the right to do so. They all have the right to do/act as they please.
8. The media is a very influential to some people in their decision making. Some people are influenced more than others by the media. Especially T.V. shows, how the characters are/act can influence people, sometimes in a good way, other times in a bad way. It all depends on the person. In a political sense commercials can be helpful influencing people which way to vote and what-not. Commercials make their products look better than others, obviously people will want the better one. Certain influences can be helpful and good; where as others not so much. People just need to know not to be influenced by the not so good things.
